The 2022 Estate Carménère holds its place as the King of our estate, commanding attention with its poise, depth, and distinctive character. Grown just steps from our Tasting Room, this wine reflects the care and patience that define our vineyard. The extended hang time during the 2022 season allowed the fruit to develop remarkable concentration and complexity while maintaining balance and freshness.

On the nose, it opens with vibrant red currant, dark cherry, and a touch of dried herbs. The palate is rich yet refined, revealing layers of red fruit, cracked black pepper, sweet tobacco, and subtle earthiness. Silky tannins and a smooth, lingering finish give this wine a regal structure that continues to evolve in the glass.

A Double Gold medalist and a true expression of our home vineyard, this Carménère pairs beautifully with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and dishes rich in spice or smoke. It is a wine worthy of a place at the head of the table.

Tasting notes

Aromas of ripe red berries mingle with sophisticated spice notes and intriguing herbaceous hints of green peppercorn, bell pepper, and paprika. The palate unfolds with layers of dark chocolate, tobacco, and earthiness, courtesy of careful oak maturation. Silky yet structured tannins provide a smooth mouthfeel, while its dry profile and balanced acidity enhance its food-friendly nature. A refined and intriguing expression of Carménère, perfect for those who appreciate depth and nuance in their wines.
